Adoption Fees For Cats When we rescue your cat we pay a fee to the animal shelter to release the cat to us (generally $35-$50 depending on the shelter). After the cat is rescued it goes right to the vet for a thorough examination (usually $45). Any medical needs are addressed at this time (cost different for each cat). After this the cat will go to a foster home where our volunteers will care for their daily needs. If we have more cat than we do foster homes, the cat will be boarded at one of several kennels we have approved in Columbus. At his point we will schedule a laser spay or neuter (about $75) and the foster parent will arrange this time with the vet. At the time you adopt your new cat, he or she will be spayed or neutered and be up to date on all of his or her shots (in accordance with their age). Each cat will be FeLv negative, FIV negative prior to adoption. Our adoption fee is $75 for cats and kittens. We currently perform home visits within approximately 30 days after the adoption. Much love, time, and support is given by so many so that each animal can have a second chance at a loving home. We want our cats to have an indoor forever home so they are safe. Each case is assessed based on the amount of money we have had to invest in the cat. We are a non profit organization but some dogs are more expensive to care for than others.
