 Chauncey the Lover!

What a beautiful boy! Are you looking for an "only" pet? This two year old boy really needs a home! Chauncey was a wanderer around the home of a volunteer for a couple months and she assumed he belonged to a neighbor, but when he showed up with a limp, we had to take him to the vet. Good thing too! Although Chauncey's leg was only sprained (it's fine now), he tested FIV positive. That means Chauncey will have to be an indoor-only cat and will have to either be an only cat or live with another FIV-positive cat. The vet couldn't get over how sweet Chauncey acted as he was poked and prodded, given shots and x-rays. We neutered Chauncey and gave him all his shots, and he's ready to go to his special, loving home.

Chauncey is such a laid-back, loving kitty, it's a shame to have to keep him in a cage, but that's where he is until he finds a home so that he can't give the other kitties in the house FIV. He should have a home in which he can run around and rub against your legs and be petted and loved! If you plan on having only one cat, or if you have an FIV-positive kitty who would like a companion, please consider giving this loving, young boy a home. Get him out of kitty jail!

Misty

Little Misty was saved from the Licking County Animal Shelter. She had vision problems and eventually went blind over a 3-4 month period. She was found to have the human equivalent of macular degeneration of the retina. She is only around 2 years old - very young to have lost her sight. She is spayed and up to date on all shots. Misty is looking for a quiet, peaceful home. It would be preferred that she joined a household with another friendly animal; one that would be non-aggressive toward her. She is a very loving little girl and should also do well in a loving home without other pets. She loves to sleep in your lap. She likes to be whereever you are. Her hearing is very keen - she follows the sounds. She is petite weighing around 5-6 pounds. She does not require veterinary intervention at this point in her life, but she will require that her new family understand her needs for a safe environment

CASANOVA HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME!!

A good samaritan brought Casanova to the Licking County Animal Shelter carrying him in a box because he had been hit by a car. Stop the Suffering took him under our wing. He was found to have a fractured hind hip and underwent surgery to remove an injured kidney. What makes Casanova a special needs kitty? He was found to be FeLV positive. The staff at the veterinary hospital wanted to name him Casanova because of his loving personality. Casanova just completed his last check up with his vet and is now looking for a forever home. He is between 1 and 2 years old and is up to date on all shots. He does not require any veterinary care at this point in his life and is doing very well. Due to his health history however, he is considered a special needs boy. Casanova will need to be an only kitty in the household, or may be adopted into a home with other FeLV positive kitties. He is a wonderful, loving animal and should get along great with other animals.
