Hanson & Shatzi Foster Mom Bonnie wrote in to share a recent story about her two foster dogs Hanson and Shatzi and an amazing experience with her 3 year old :) Bonnie writes; "Just had to share. this is why you do not bath then brush a double coated dog at home!! And also why you do not let a 3 year old help you!! Hanson is now 1/2 the size he was, I thought he was getting fat but noooooo it was all hair!! LOL BTW, he had to have a bath this AM due to my daughter putting diaper cream all over him!! It does not come out easily.... wash and rinse in the tub. And Mooshoo had to have one too. Fortunately, Shatzi was spared the diaper cream and did not have to get a bath. Shatzi did get "her hair done" this AM though :) They are all really good about letting my daughter put hair clips on them. Maybe we should put that pic of Shatzi on the site so people can see how sweet she is :)" What a great story! Hanson is about 2 yrs old and is waiting patiently to find his forever home. We are not sure what he is mixed with, but he’s approximately 52 lbs. with a beautiful creamy colored coat and black saddle. He’s been fostered with the above pictured 3-year-old human child. He likes to fetch but allows the dominant dogs to get the toys first, so you’ll find him chasing the dogs that are chasing the toys just to be part of the game. Hanson is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. If you’d like more information on Hanson please contact Bonnie.
Meet Mr. Molson Molson is a sweet boy who needs a loving home. He spent over 3 months at Licking County pound waiting for his owners to come and rescue him. This poor boy waited and waited, his owners were notified, but nobody came. He is housebroken and very much lets you know when he has to go outside. He gets along fine with the foster families 3 other dogs. He is not at all an "alpha" type dog. We have not yet seen him with cats. He loves to be around people and other dogs and loves to run. Denver Denver is a Labrador Sheppard mix and has the best qualities of both breeds. He is a loyal, loving, sweet, and affectionate dog. Denver is housebroken and is great on walks. He loves people and adores other dogs. Denver has a very laid-back, quiet personality. He would make an excellent companion or family pet. Pretty Hazel Tabby,Tiger Mix
Hazel is approx 1-2 years old and is a very pretty tabby girl. She is a very sweet cat & seems to do ok with other cats & dogs. She is combo neg, had her first shots, and is spayed. For more info on Hazel, For more info on Hazel, please contact Joan, STS/Cat Program.
