StopTheSuffering depends entirely on foster families to provide temporary housing for every rescued dog and cat until their permanent adoptive family can be located. Because of this, we are always in need of great foster families. Simply put, the more foster families we have available, the more animals that can be saved. We can't save an animal if it has no place to go.

Becoming a foster parent for a homeless animal is one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have. Because of you, an animal that may have never been loved or had a home will get to know what love and home feel like.

When animals are rescued they are often very tramatized. Some of them may have physical or mental scars that need to be healed. It is due to the dedication of all of the STS foster families that all of our rescues are rehabilitated in full and are turned into loving adoptable pets. Foster families are the angels and saviors for these animals.

Although we are always in desperate need for great foster families, unfortunately we cannot approve everyone as a foster. Prior to being accepted as a foster family STS has to do some background investigation to ensure the foster environment will work out well for both our animals and the foster families themselves.
