Stop the Suffering would like to thank Bill and Michelle for their very generous donation in the name of their two STS adoptees!
Bill and Michelle are platinum sponsors of Stop the Suffering and are wonderful people who opened their home to two rescue dogs. They initially adopted Mia from us and then shortly thereafter, Mia literally chose Tessa as her best friend among all the dogs we had available for adoption at a "Mingle with the Mutts" event. Both these girls extended the life of their older sister, a wonderful Newfie who was suffering from arthritis and thrived on the love and companionship of Mia and Tessa. Bill and Michelle wrote:
"When we acquired Tessa and Mia we had no idea what we were getting into, Tessa charged Michelle three times the first day, Mia would cower at any misunderstanding. Our vet almost demanded a muzzle on Tessa for her first visit, she was so aggressive. So we worked and cared and loved and they have become amazing dogs. They have open invitations to all relatives houses because they are so well behaved and so friendly. A year ago we got Henry, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Henry is silly, he knows nothing of pain or suffering, he knows only love and fun. It has been amazing to watch Tessa and Mia rediscover the joy of play, the joy of just being silly, Henry helped them remember."............
"When we took Tessa home, we were worried that Tessa might not do well with cats, Stop the Suffering found us a member with cats that was willing to allow Tessa in their house with their cats to see if she would be OK. The dedication and willingness to do what was good for the dogs was amazing."
