Stop The Suffering will be holding our 6th Annual Walk n Wag on Saturday, May 11th at 9 a.m. at Cherry Valley Bike Path located at the corner of Cherry Valley and Reddington Rd in Newark, Ohio.  The walk costs $20 which includes you and your pooch, kids 12 and under are $10.  All registered walkers will get an official Walk t-shirt and a bottle of water (community water bowls for the dogs will be available).  There will be a bake sale and pet contests!

**  Please register at rescueteam@stopthesuffering.org and include your name, address, t-shirt size- Adult $20, Youth-$10, your email address, and phone number.  Deadline to ensure you receive a t-shirt is May 5, 2013.  You can mail your entry fee to STS  1573 Windsong Dr  Heath, OH  43056 or pay via paypal on our website by clicking Donate (please specify that your payment is for Walk n Wag, the current date for Walk n Wag on our donate page has not been updated). 

Based on statistics from Cornell University, 75% of all cats and kittens and 56% of dogs and puppies relinquished to shelters are put to death.

Stop the Suffering exists for the sole purpose of rescuing dogs and cats from any shelter that is about to euthanize them.

The cats and dogs rescued by Stop the Suffering are loving animals on the “euthanasia short list”. Contrary to popular belief, perfectly healthy and loveable dogs and cats are euthanized every day simply because they have not been claimed or adopted. In many cases, we rescue an animal hours before it is scheduled to be put to sleep, giving the animal an opportunity to be adopted by a loving family and a second chance at life.

Stop The Suffering is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to save the lives of dogs and cats in high kill shelters, primarily in rural Ohio.
